ADMISSIONS

CCSA Member Students

Students from CCSA member institutions must also register for courses at their home institution. Instructions are included within the CCSA application process. The CCSA member institutions, whenever possible, identify comparable courses at each institution for those taught by faculty from other member universities. Only in the event that the requested course is not available at the student's home institution may a student from one member institution be permitted to register through another CCSA institution. Students should contact their institution's CCSA representative or the CCSA Central Office for details about registration procedures.

Special Admissions and Transcripts

Murray State University and the University of Kentucky Students:

Students from Murray State University and University of Kentucky will receive credit and transcripts directly from Western Kentucky University.

As part of this program students are waived any WKU application and tuition fees as well as visiting student requirements. (Normal CCSA application and program fees apply)

Each student needing WKU transcript for their CCSA course will pay a $100 transcript fee to CCSA prior to being registered for the course at WKU.

Instructions for admittance to WKU as a non-degree-seeking student will be made available in the CCSA application system.

Students from NON-CCSA MEMBER SCHOOLS (non-consortium):

Students from schools outside the CCSA member institutions are allowed to apply for CCSA programs. These students must be admitted as visiting, non-degree-seeking students to WKU after being accepted into a CCSA program. It is the responsibility of these students to request a transfer of credit to their home institution after the program has ended.

These students must provide to the CCSA Central Office a(n):

  • Official transcript
  • Study Abroad Approval Form signed by their home institution (provided by CCSA)

  • $100 transcript fee (in addition to application fee)

CCSA will verify the student's eligibility to participate and a final decision will be made by CCSA's Executive Director.

Instructions for admittance to WKU as a non-degree-seeking student will be made available in the CCSA application system.
